paulaj Mahogany Leaf - This quilt was part of a challenge with the quilting group I belong to. Everyone was going to do flowers but not following the 'rules' as usual, I did this leaf instead, based on Georgia O'Keefe's "Dark and Lavender Leaf". I experimented with piecing it in the style of Cynthia England or piecing it in a more realistic fashion. Realism won. The background is hand dyed and the quilt is machine quilted.
