Design Source - Description | This pink angel quilt commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of my beautiful mother, Irene, on March 30, 1910. She was a breast cancer survivor and these 'pink' angels represent her hope, endurance, strength and faith. Mom was truly an inspiration to me...she's 'always my angel' and is always in my heart. This was my first attempt at back-basting needle-turn applique and ribbon embelishments. Since we spent countless hours together embroidering as I was growing up, I felt Mom like a guiding angel over my shoulder while making the quilt. |
