Chloe My Challenge Quilt - This is a quilt made as a challenge with my quilt group. We chose our own centre block, which I did following a Valori Wells pattern, and then each month were given a new instruction as to how to complete the next border. I prefer piecing so when the theme was 'flowers' I did foundation-pieced flowers, and for a nine-patch I did wonky little nine-patches on the corners of the previous border, and so on. The last border had to be 3-dimensional, so the triangles are made of large pieces of fabric scrunched to fir a smaller shape and beads have been sewn on. It was great fun and I learnt a lot from it, especially things like working out measurements and planning the colours.
