Design Source - Description | I have been making quilts using old handkerchiefs, and this one uses four survivors of the seven "This is the Way We .... early Monday, etc. Morning" hankies I had as a child. (I had five, so used the fifth in the label on the back.) To make the pinwheels I opened and pressed old yo yos made by my aunt in the 1930's. I used additional yoyos as embellishment. The border was a piece of vintage fabric, and to spice up the whole thing I used rick-rack found in my Mother's sewing box, marked 25 cents, so it was obviously old, too. |
