malittlej Chinar Reflection - This quilt was commissioned by a neighbor to hang above her bed. She showed me a silk linen beadspread, heavily embroidered with design representing the Kashmiri chinar tree. She also gave me an old family sari and a few other pieces of silk to use. Based on a landscape photo she liked, I designed the quilt in rectangles per her request.
