Design Source - Description | This is my first quilt made for my mother in law (of one year at the time). She liked bright colours. I made this quilt in 1973 to 1975 for their 25th wedding anniversary--I was 21 when I started it. Not knowing anything about quilting, I bought a magazine. Thinking back, I am sure it must have been a pieced quilt, but at the time, I thought I should be able to do it by hand, on my way to work on the bus. I also wanted to make it out of clothing and things she would remember, and apparently fibre content was not a consideration for me. |
