Design Source - Based On | Traditional Pueblo pottery designs |
Design Source - Description | Made from just 2 kinds of fabric - the dark teal, dark purple and silver are a silk/cotton sateen and the lighter teal and lavender are a polyester satin. This is as close to a wholecloth quilt as I seem to be able to make - somehow I just need to add piecing!. I have an anthropology background and have always loved the Ancestral Pueblo pottery designs. I drew up all the quilting based on pictures and drawings of pottery (some from Decorative Art of the Southwestern Indians by Dorothy Sides (Dover). Quilted on my Bernina. |
