Design Source - Description | When you enter the Rose Red City of Petra in Jordan you have to walk along an ancient riverbed through high colorful canyon walls. This entrance is called the "Siq" and is 1.2 kilometers long. You first catch a glimpse of the tomb called the "Treasury" with its rosy colored rock face carved in the early 1st century AD. I made this quilt from a photo I took in 1987 after a most wonderful tour of Petra. |
