Butterflies on Patch Work Wall hanging was constructed for our quilt guild hot august night challenge, which was "favorit little things". I love butterflies so of course that was my favorit little thing. I did a patach work of 3 inch squares and appliqued the butterflies on. I used hot crystals as flowers and embroided the stems from the main branchs to the hot crystals. The lady bugs are buttons and the snail is appliquet with embroided accents. This was my first try at machine quilting. The wall hanging did win the challenge. |
