RenaM Red/White Quilt - LQS had Buck-a-Block in 2005. Mom & I made blocks each month. She unexpectedly passed away 10-2005. I showcased her blocks in center of quilt, added my monthly blocks and made additional ones to fit into a King Size quilt I designed using Bernina Quilter software. I had Quiltin' Bill of Galena, Mo. quilt it since Mom always wanted to have him long-arm quilt one of hers (sadly she never got one to him before she passed away). I have a quilt made by my great-grandmother which she hand pieced/hand quilted Red/White quilt in 1931, and will now have this "modern, machine made" quilt that Mom & I did together. Special memories.
