This quilt got away from me in size. So I've been a little imtimidated to start the quilting on my little home machine. Im getting a new Janome in April, so I think it will probably wait until then. But I was very pleased with the outcome. Another new favorite! Since I'm a new quilter, I'm still learnig, and the biggest thing I learned with this quilt was that going a little slower and paying a little more attention to my 1/4" gives MUCH better seam results. I was excited every time I sewed a new row together and the seams still lined up. I didn't have any plans for this quilt when it was started and was asked what I was going to do with it, and I said I'd probably give it to my boyfriend's mother. But now that the top is done, it's the best one I've done so far and I don't want to give it away. Maybe that's why I'm putting off quilting it. |
