Design Source - Description | I made two of these quilts, thinking that I can have them on hand when I need to give a quilt on short notice. While I was making this, it was determined that our neighbor's nephew - only about a year old - needed a liver transplant, and they were having a fundraiser for his benefit. I donated this quilt. My neighbor had no idea what went into the making of a quilt and when she saw this, she decided that she wanted her nephew to be able to keep the quilt. However, she still wanted to raise money for the cause. She has seven sisters, so between the eight of them, they donated money for the cause and gave the quilt to their nephew. He went through the surgery and is doing very well a year later. |
