MontereyPam Giant Waterlily - Waterlilies in my koi pond have been spectacular this year. After playing with design ideas for lilies, leaves and a frog or two, I decided to focus on just one flower and make it very large. I wanted to play with many hues of red and to highlight the bright yellow stamens. Those I made from strips of many fabrics, held down by appliquéing the center and an overlay of tulle.
