Design Source - Description | My mom, Martha Jones, hand pieced the flowers from her stash, the flowers were kept in a closed box that preserved the fresh colors of the old fabrics. I hand appliqued them and set the pattern. Mom said "that's not the way to do it" I said , "But, mom that's the way I need to it, I am not a good enough piecer to do it the proper way" There were enough flowers to make a quilt for each of my four daughters, if I ever get them all finished. This quilt won a blue ribbon for best use of old blocks, in the Colorado State Fair. |
