etafrica Granny Squares - I learned this idea from a friend : it is a type of "quilt-as-you-go" using 4 squares of fabric & one of batting: sewed together cleverly & then finished & quilted "Granny" squares are butted together & stitched with a bridging or similar decorative stitch. This Christmas Throw/Lap quilt is done with Christmas fabrics. Name comes from the crocheted squares granny used to make for blankets.
