GrannyFran Sunshine and Shadow - This is one of the series of journal quilts I made in honor of my Granny. It is based on traditional Sunshine and Shadow quilts with photo transfers of her children and foster sons used as some of the pattern pieces. Her two sons died as children so she fostered three hoomeless brothers as her own. The small blue blocks are all vintage fabrics from Granny's stash.
