Design Source - Description | This design is based on my sketch of hibiscus blooms in my yard and begun in a workshop taught by Ruth B McDowell. I was inspired by the deep colors of the flower's centers and the white veins throughout the petals. Although the original hibiscus blooms were pink, I decided to use orange fabrics in the quilt. It is completely pieced using a variety of commerical fabrics and machine quilted, finished with a hidden binding. |
