A Love/Hate Relationship with Paisleys - This quilt was made for the Hoffman Challenge this year (2009). It is based on a pattern in an old issue of The Foundation Piecer (1996) by Liz Schwartz. I added the teal silk pieces to make it a circle and the border of applique squares, as well as designed the thread painted flowers in the corners. The green outer border is appliqued. It is also hand beaded. After quilting paint was added to the feathers quilted in the brown and teal areas. (photo by gregory case photography)
