Design Source - Description | This is the quilt that threw me into the quilting world after 11 years of sewing barely a stitch. I was inspired to make a quilt for a stranger who had undergone an overwhelming tragedy. Something in me called me to make it, and after struggling with my old broken sewing machine trying to get it done, my husband joined in the cause and came home with a new sewing machine for me as his contribution to the effort. I used intuition for the design, as usual, and in a few spots it is not perfect. This was my first try at machine quilting. I quilted little spirals and and waves and the words, Love, Peace, Faith in the blocks. I truly believe something greater guided my inexperienced hands. |
