Elegant Oriole

Elegant Oriole - I took a closeup of an Oriole that was stunned when it flew into our window. I printed it out on cotton and then quilted it. This quilt was made for Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. Four layers of batting were used at the beak and three for the bird. Tip: when you do heavy trapunto you should allow enough border to square the quilt. The border was printed with the picture so I was unable to do so.
