California Quilt

California Quilt - I designed this quilt around my family history in the California Gold Rush. The center figure is a gold minor panning gold. Above him is the golden gate bridge, on either side are towering sequoia trees, below him is a bear and in the corners are quails. When I started the project I wanted the gold minor as the central medallion, my husband told me I needed the other elements. I drew all the images myself and believe me I am no artist.
