marilynrsmithquilts Shea's First Quilt - This quilt was improvisationally pieced and embellished by my granddaughter, Shea. She used some orphan blocks from her great grandmother as well a some of mine. She included fabrics she liked and did some machine embroidery on the quilt. Shea is 7 years old and wants to do everything I ( her grandmother) do. She is very creative. She wanted desperately to have a quilt in a quilt show ( like her grandmother ), so I layered her top and quilted it for her. She was so proud to see it hanging at the Booneslick Trail Quilter's Guild Show in November of 2008.
