Design Source - Description | Theme "Together, forward, together". After the devastating events at the Northern Illinois University Campus, members of the communtiy came together and designed one 10" block each, and they were assembled and displayed one year later in 2009. This block was foundation pieced using 184 pieces, smallest area .37". 5 crosses for the 5 victims, Outer ring triangles signify moving forward, 4 arrows in corners pointing inwards for communities in all directions coming together in support, black unbroken ring for grieving "together". |
