Design Source - Description | I made this quilt for my dad. He is a big camper and woodsman and he and my mother used to take two week canoe trips into the interior of northern ontario. they stopped doing this about 5 years ago since my father doesn't want to carry a canoe anymore,(he is in his mid 80s), but they still enjoy camping. This quilt pattern embodies everything he loves about the north. I gave it to him for christmas and he absolutely loves it. It was my first attempt at applique and it also contains my first attempt at paper piecing. (There is a small canadian flag near the bottom) |
