glendajean Passion - I was given a beautiful silk crepe scarf with a drawing of a Japanese lady wearing a full formal Kimono; I kept it in its original wrapping for some thing special. When we moved to the tropics we had this amazing red tropical passion flower (6inches across)in our garden; it reminded me of the beautiful red scarf, End result was this quilt. Each hexagon is quilted as you go; so I made all these hexagons then put them together making 6 red flowers to resemble the passion flower & surrounded the flowers around the Japanese’s lady which is in the centre top; adding dark hexagons to define the lady & flowers.
