I designed this quilt around the Christmas tree skirt panels in the line by Benartex called Splendid Holiday. I put the panels in the corners, and designed the side blocks to compliment the mariners compass in the center. This quilt made it to a "photo finish" in the Fall 2008 Fabric Trends magazine!
