Design Source - Description | This is a "souvenir PC" of the first seven days of Creation. Its format was inspired by the accordian-style souvenir pictorial postcards that I remember from the mid-1900's. Five cards are displayed in order to show the various picture panels in one photo. The Hebrew says, "Let there be light," "and there was light." Couched metallic threads, broderie perse, and charms were used to create the picture and embellish the double-sized panel for days 3-6. With my hands as a model, I used embroidery software to digitize hands at rest for day 7. Both the hands and "Let there be light" glow in the dark. Patches of lined fabric were appliqued to provide the message and address areas. (Superior Threads used: ExtraGlow NiteLite White, Razzle Dazzle, and Polyester Monofilament) |
