patricia3 Miko's Stars - The eight pointed stars were among a large group I purchased at a garage sale in Kenai, Alaska. I was told that they had been pieced by hand by a neighbor lady named Miko, who had passed away suddenly at age 71. I believe she would have wanted them to continue into a finished quilted item. So I placed them in four corners (she had already attached the white squares to sets of 4 stars) of a table topper. I think of this quilter who I never met everytime I look at the the table with the topper on it. I like to think she is smiling somewhere at seeing her work taken care of.
