yquiltsalot Grandpa's Quilt for Aurora - This pattern is in Mary Hickey's book, "Sweet and Simple Baby Quilts." I make a lot of baby quilts for friends and family but when we found out we were going to be grandparents for the first time--I was really excited! I like the patterns in Mary's book. Our new granddaughter ended up with 7 quilts by the time she was born. One of the most special is this one, quilted by her Grandpa! I let him pick one of the quilt tops I'd made, and he quilted it. He'd been wanting to play with my HQ Sixteen, so this gave him a good excuse.
