atkinssm Paisley Challenge - This was for a guild challenge to use a gray and gold paisley fabric (that was not very pretty). The finished quilt had to contain at least one Ohio Star. I had always wanted to do a Log Cabin Ohio Star layout and thought this was the perfect opportunity. At our monthly quild meeting in August 2008, 22 quilts were displayed and members voted in four categories. This quilt was selected as People's Choice. My first contest and first win! Even though it was a very small contest, I was very happy to have this quilt chosen for the top prize. This picture does not begin to show the fabulous quilting that really makes this quilt special.
