seaglassStitcher Wedding Crazy Quilt - My daughter and husband had a choice of quilts from me, and wanted a CQ. I used some of the wedding dress fabric and the groom's tie along with velvets, satins and silks. It is heavily embellished, has a heavy upholstery velvet backing to support the heavy embellishments. One block is a beach landscape of Cocoa Beach, Florida where they were married. Wedding dress fabric is the beach and the groom's tie is the water.. Rings, embroidered sea motifs are included. Other motifs in the quilt are Peggy's Cove lighthouse where they were engaged, symbols of Halifax, NS and Cape Breton where they were from etc.
