Design Source - Description | I took a surface design class this spring in which I hand-dyed the center motif. I liked it so much I decided it just had to be made into a quilt and this is the result. When I thought the top was finished, I felt that the narrow yellow border was too strong and I needed to tone it down. I finally decided to machine embroider it with turquoise thread; much to my delight I found a built-in stitch on my machine that was very similar to the motif I had dyed. I just love serendipity!!!! |
