WandaM Kirstie's Graduation Quilt - I made this quilt in April and May of 2008, for Kirstie's graduation from Gonzales High School. I made the first block as a challenge by the Heritage Quilt Guild for a raffle quilt design. The block was not chosen by the guild, but when Kirstie saw the block, she loved the bright colors. So off I went to the LQS to purchase more fabric to complete a quilt. Martha Coval, owner of my LQS, worked the quilt into her quilting schedule so that Kirstie could receive it on the night of her graduation. The quilting design is butterflies. Each block on this quilt contains 25 pieces, which made me think that I was crazy for attempting the quilt!
