Lily

Lily - I took a class in July 2008 at Country Quilter, Richmond, Ontario Canada from Elaine Quehl. It started with her photograph of a day lily. We choose fabrics that could be used for the fusible applique, I used mostly batiks but lacking the 'right' colors I ventured into some of the small print textural fabrics. I machine quilted this myself. I really like this technique and will follow up the lessons with photos of my own garden lilies and other summer flowers.
