Air Plane - I found this sample block with my Granny's quilt patterns and samples, which came to me when she no longer needed them. I had never seen this pattern but was able to find it in Carrie A Hall's "The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America". My son, who pilot's antique planes was taken by the pattern so I decided to do a similar quilt for him.
