GuysQuilt2 Civil War Stars - I took a Lone Star class earlier this year and made the center block. The rest was up to us. I had seen a photo somewhere of a Lone Star surrounded by log cabin blocks so I decided to try that and from there I wanted more stars so I came up with the outer border. It won a People's Choice Award at a quilt show back in April - I was quite flattered! The fabrics are all from Judy Rothermel's Civil War Classics line and some from her Civil War Backgrounds. Our exchange student really liked this one so it is going home with him to France.
