QuiltPromoter Prismatic Flower With Attitude - After seeing Wild Child on TQS, I took the Prismatic Flower class from Barbara Olson in the fall, 2007 and used her blossom design for this project. The leaves and stem were designed using her Wild Child technique. I appliqued the blossom, middle leaf and stem to the background; then cut out the background underneath and added batting under those parts, as well as the narrow border. I thread painted over those parts, then added another layer of batting, the backing and quilted. The background is all painted fabric. The two outer leaves were wrapped around Timtex (and are firmly attached under the blossom, then there's a few stitches towards the tip, so they are really 3-D.
