sewmanyquilts Froggy Quilt - This was the first quilt I ever finished. I designed it for a child. My theme fabric on the back had comical frogs. I used square on a square blocks, with contrasting colors. I used embroidery to create a frog, his name, 123, ABC, and to label each pedal in a 3 dimensional flower I created - each pedal has the color of the pedal embroidered on the reverse side. I included his photo in one of the blocks, and I made a small frog toy attached to the quilt. The quilting was simple stitch in the ditch.
