sstephen Fonts - The foundation for this wall hanging is a sandwich of backing, batting, and background fabric, finished pillowcase style. I then layered rectangles of fabric with printing and typeface on the background and secured them with bigstick quilting to suggest the lines of a Big Chief writing tablet. The edges are raw and the ends of some of the quilt threads are hanging, suggestive of the unfinished look of some early manuscripts.
