Mushrooms and Elephant Ears - This quilt was inspired by a japanese quilter's technique of shredding fabrics, arranging them as if painting, and then trapping it in place with tule and free motion quilting (I saw this on Simply Quilts- Spring 2006). She used a long arm, I used a home machine. I was testing different fabrics, yarns, beads, paint, applique, and turned lames into confetti.
