Design Source - Description |
The quilt pattern in the book was incorrect, so I changed the angles, and decided to go brighter and use mostly batiks. I machine quilted in the ditch in the main seams, but in the small strip seams, and inside the white blocks, I hand quilted. The border is completely handquilted too, with butterflies. My favorite motif in this quilt, is a butterfly angel, which I quilted in two of the white diamonds. It was inspired by a song "Butterfly Angel" by my friend and very talented singer, John Suchocki, a PhD Chemist who also has a secondary love in the arts, as do I. |
