Grandma cut these tiny pieces with scissors and hand pieced and appliquéd the blocks. My uncle (who is a hay fever sufferer) was instructed "DON'T SNEEZE!" when she had the block pieces laid out. He is a wonderful son and took her EVERYWHERE (by his on words) to find the fabrics - there weren't as many quilt shops as there are today. |
