defling Mammals of the Lagoon - This quilt was designed and made as a final project for the Florida Naturalist, Coastal environments seminar. It hangs in a classroom, and was made to teach children about the marine mammals of the lagoon and the responsibility of the human mammals to care for the environment. My husband assisted in the design as well as the construction of the quilt top. The borders of the quilt contain marine life images in variegated threads.
