Crossed Canoes - The Crossed Canoes is a traditional pattern dating back to the late 1800s. The angles of the canoes are very easy when paper pieced using freezer paper. The border is a butterfly border designed by friend Judy Madden of Ketchikan, Alaska. This quilt was pictured in the July/August edition of Quilter's Newsletter.
