Elegance and Old Lace

Elegance and Old Lace - I used reverse applique on each embroidered block to make the embroidery look as though it is not set in blocks. Each block has stacked decorative stitches to make it look like there is lace around each embroidery design. The embroidery was done using Marcia Pollard's Grand Elegance designs and her thread color set from Robison Anton. To continue the soft, feminine look of the quilt, I scalloped the edges. My quilter did a mock trapunto as the quilting.
