Design Source - Description | This quilt was my first attempt at foundation piecing. I purchased the printed foundation from a warehouse fabric store in NY. I wanted to try something I had never done before and was able to use fabric I had in my stash. I started it and stopped and lost interest. When my quild had a "UFO" meeting in January, I brought it to the meeting and was challenged to finish it by our end of year party in June (we break for the summer). I started working on the quilt again with new enthusiasm and found I really liked how it was coming along. So much so that I finished it by the middle of February! I gave it to my daughter for her 26th birthday. I used flannel on the back and tied it because she prefers tied quilts. She loved it!!! It's now hanging in her apartment. |
