Design Source - Description | This was my first attempt at quilting....queen size...I do NOT recommend a first quilt this big...My husband bought me my first "very own" sewing machine our first Christmas together, and with it came free lessons and classes whre he purchased the machine. This was a stack n wack class based on the 18* fan ruler. I stacked exact patterns then cut using the ruler so each fan had exact patterns on each piece. I started it in 2001 but it took me till 2005 to actually finish it. I had to tote my sewing machine up and downstairs to my kitchen table everytime I wnated to work on it so therefore it sat a very long time. I was encouraged to finish it for a housewarming gift for my younger sister, as her bedroom theme was to be "Africian inspired". |
