QuiltHappy African Themed - I have always been attracted to ethnic quilts. The book "Quilt Africa" had so many inspiring ideas in it. This was my first attempt to 'free motion' quilt and I now love to do it. I especially like the illusion of desert (from the beige batik) and the wind (my quilting) in the background of each image. Since I was making this for a friend, I incorporated a family of warthogs as she collects them. My favorite is the mom giraffe with her little one.
