suzyquilter Blooming Baskets - I made this quilt for a Challenge in the Piney Hills Quilt Guild. We were given a piece of unusual fabric and told to make a small quilt with the theme, Blooming Baskets. I wanted to use this challenge to learn new techniques. So I paperpieced the New York Beauty block, machine pieced several of the blocks and machine appliqued several blocks. I used the challenge fabric to make the two butterflies that are appliqued on two of the central basket blocks.
