Skirmish at Liendo - "Skirmish at Liendo" will be raffled as a fund raiser by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War - Edward Lea Camp at the end of a 3 day civil war re-enactment iin Hempstead, TX. The re-enactment takes place at Liendo Plantation for which the quilt is named. The blue and gray colors represent the Union and Confederate soldiers who fought and died during the Civil War. The dark red flower in the solid panel represents the blood that was shed during this era in our country's history. Machine quilted using Sulky Blendable 30wt.
